EEI – Creation of an HV/MV Substation and of the MV Distribution Substation for a 16 MW Cogenerating Facility


Project Description

The project concerns the connection of a 16 MW cogeneration facilty at Nesle (France) to the public transmission network.

Methodology Used

The project was broken down into three parts:

  • Supply, installation and startup of the HV station (63 kV circuit breaker), the HV/MV transformer and the station ancillaries and control/monitoring system, including civil engineering.
  • Installation of the MV links between the HV station and the MV station.
  • Supply, installation and commissioning of:
    • MV delivery substation, “wood preparation” MV substation, “cogeneration auxiliary” MV substation,
    • one 20/15 kV transformer (20 MVA, ONAN) for the AFE supply,
    • two 20/5.5 kV transformers (2500 kVA and 2000 kVA),
    • two 20/0.4 kV transformers (630kVA).


EXPER’ELEC INGENIERIE (EEI) prepared the specifications and tender documents for all three phases of the project.
